LAHORE Nov 28 (TNS): Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri blasted the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government on Tuesday, saying it has completely failed in the face of the challenges the country is facing.

Speaking to the media after his arrival at Lahore airport, he said the country is going through a critical phase and the government has failed to live up to its responsibilities.

Qadri said the government’s failures were not hidden from anyone. It even failed to hold successful negotiations to put a peaceful end to the Islamabad sit-in, he added.

He claimed the PML-N government had virtually collapsed after the Model Town incident. The rulers had been exposed, he added.

Those who were not resolving national issues through parliament had no right to govern, the PAT chief said, adding that the government had to seek army’s help to persuade the Islamabad protesters to call off sit-in.

He demanded that the entire cabinet should immediately be sent packing for it has no moral standing to stay in power.

He said the Sharif family went abroad after striking deals in the past, but now they won’t get any such relief.

He predicted that the Lahore High Court will decide in favour of the Model Town incident victims and order the government to public the inquiry report, which would further lay bare the true faces of the rulers.

Qadri said people have begun revolting against the PML-N government.
