ISLAMABAD Nov 30 (TNS): Sheikh Amir Waheed, President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry has called upon the local administration and police to arrange foolproof security arrangements on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi in commercial centers and markets of Islamabad so that business community and citizens could celebrate this auspicious occasion in a peaceful and secure environment with religious fervor and zeal.
He said with the commendable efforts of government security apparatus and the Pakistan Army, law and order situation has improved significantly in the country due to which business and investment activities were on the revival. He said CPEC has initiated many developmental projects in energy, infrastructure and other fields. However, many powers were bent upon disturbing peace and derail economy and such powers could make efforts to create disturbances at the occasion of Eid Milad-un- Nabi as well.
He urged that the local administration and police should deploy more police force at key religious places and markets to avoid any untoward incident. He also stressed upon the business community to keep close watch on doubtful activities and extend full cooperation to police in its efforts aimed at establishing peace in the city.
Muhammad Naveed Senior Vice President and Nisar Mirza Vice President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry said that the whole nation was preparing to celebrate the birthday of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and reiterated that business community would also celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi with religious fervor and zeal. They said the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was himself a trader and he set high standards of honesty and integrity in trade for others. They said that the business community could better promote business activities by acting upon the principles of trade set by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)
They said that the economy of Pakistan was facing many challenges and the best way to steer the economy out of troubles and put it on the path of sustainable economic growth was to fully act upon the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). They said the nation was plagued by the corruption, sectarianism and other issues and the only recipe to get rid of all these issues was to adopt the life pattern of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)
