Local administration bans ‘designer beards’ in Haroonabad

Bahawalnagar, Feb. 15 (TNS): Tehsil administration in South Punjab has banned ‘designer beards’.

The ban was announced by the office Assistant Commissioner in Haroonabad, which is the town of Bahawalnagar district.

The local administration announced the ban in a notification issued on Thursday.

According to notification, barbers and hairstylists are strictly advised not to make designs of beard.

The violators would face strict legal action, the notification warned.

Earlier, a local council in the Pakistani province of Balochistan had also banned ‘designer beards’.

The ban was announced by the Municipal Committee in the town of Omara, which is the seaside suburb of Gwadar city and has a population of around 35,000.
