Islamabad, June 29 (TNS): Pakistan says Kashmir is a recognized dispute by the United Nations and it has never been an integral part of India.

In an interview with state run Radio Pakistan, Foreign office spokesperson Nafees Zakaria said Indian forces are using worst brutalities against innocent Kashmiris, however they cannot suppress the legitimate struggle of Kashmiri people through force.

FO spokesman comments came at a time when Washington – during Indian PM Modi’s visit to US – declared indigenous freedom fighter organization Huzb-ul-Mujahideen’s head as “global terrorist”.

US state department, however, mentioned Indian occupied J&K as “Indian administrated Jammu and Kashmir” which shows US considers this region as disputed territory.

Nafees Zakaria categorically stated that struggle of Kashmiri people cannot be designated as terrorist activity as it is acknowledged by the UN and all other world bodies. He said APHC leaders believe in peaceful struggle for their right to self-determination.

He said entire Pakistani nation firmly stands by the Kashmiris in their just struggle.

The spokesperson said over seven thousand people in occupied Kashmir have received injuries due to pellet guns use by Indian forces in the last one year and over one thousand young children and youth have been partially or completely blinded.

He said over one million Indian forces are present in Occupied Kashmir and subjecting people to worst kind of oppression.
