Dubai, Feb. 23 (TNS): The Karachi Kings opened its account in third edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) by beating Quetta Gladiators by 19 runs.
The match was played in Dubai on Friday where Karachi Kings won the toss and decided to bat first.
Karachi Kings scored 149 for loss of 9 wickets.
Skipper Imad Wasim (2-19) chipped in with key wickets of Asad Shafiq (2) and Rilee Rossouw (18) to push Quetta on the back foot at 45-4.
Colin Ingram remained prominent by bagging 41 runs off 21 balls.
Australian Shane Watson took three wickets as he just gave away 22 runs in his four overs.
Unexpectedly, Gladiators’ start was disappointed and Sarfaraz-led team fell 20 runs short of the target and only managed to put 130 score on board for the loss of nine wickets.
