Islamabad March 3 (TNS): Minister of State for Information Maryam Aurangzeb said on Saturday that those who have deserted Nawaz Sharif will have to face embarrassment and their political career will ruin.
Talking to the media at the Parliament House, where Senate elections are underway, Aurangzeb claimed that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz will grab most of the seats for the Upper House of the Parliament.
The minister said that former premier Sharif would win the Senate elections. “In fact, he would win all elections that will take place in the country with the blessings of Allah and the support of the people,” she said.
Aurangzeb said that the people always welcome Sharif wherever he goes as he has done a lot for the masses. She said that an elected PM was removed on the basis of Iqama.
She said that Sharif served the people of the country. Not a single charge of corruption was proved against him, she claimed.
Slamming PTI chief Imran Khan, the minister said that he was levelling allegations of horse-trading against his own party members. She said the PTI leader used to curse the parliament and his party did not give due respect to the institution.
She said the PML-N was being meted out unfair treatment as Sharif was disqualified as its president and subsequently, the party was deprived of its participation in the Senate polls.
