Senate urged to act against drug sale at educational institutions

Islamabad March 5 (TNS): Senate Standing Committee on Interior Chairman Rahman Malik has urged the Senate to issue a strict order against the mafia selling drugs at educational institutions across the country, playing with the lives of thousands of gullible students.

While briefing the Senate Standing Committee on Interior, he said that action should be taken against those involved in supplying drugs to the educational institutions.

Talking to the media, he said that after the today’s briefing, he has directed the police to get the students of private and government institutions twice in the year.  Malik said that a proposal is under consideration to set up a force of 2,000 personnel to cope with the mob that goes on the rampage in the federal capital whenever they march on Islamabad.

He said that it has been decided to deal with sternly against those who make Islamabad hostage whenever they show up for protest. He said that a specific corner should be allocated in F-9 Park for public and political gatherings.

He said that the martyrs of Islamabad police should be given an equal package as is being given in other provinces.
