Pak-Russia ties on high trajectory: Kh Asif

Islamabad March 7 (TNS): Foreign Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif said on Wednesday that Pakistan’s relations with Russia were augmenting owing to the robust foreign policy put in place by the governemnt.

In an interview, Asif, who wound up his crucial visit to Russia to make deals with the gas-rich country, said that the United States and Pakistan were facing trust deficit. He said Pakistan wanted to have respectable relations with the US on an identical basis.

The foreign minister said that Pakistan will never compromise on its national interest and dignity.

He said Pakistan has been providing support to the US in Afghan war and it will continue to extend cooperation for peace in the war-torn country.
