Larger bench of IHC hearing Iqama case against Khawaja Asif dissolved

ISLAMABAD, March 8 (TNS): The larger bench of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) Thursday was dissolved after Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb excused from hearing the plea seeking disqualification of Minister for Foreign Affairs Khawaja Asif for allegedly not declaring “Iqama” (work permit)of a foreign country in his nomination papers.

The Larger bench comprised Justice Aamir Farooq, Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani and Justice Miangul Hasan.

The matter was remanded back to Chief Justice Muhammed Anwar Khan Kasi for forming a new bench to hear the plea filed by Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf leader Usman Dar.

During the court proceeding, a man identified Arsalam clicked a photo of court room by his mobile phone.

The judges expressed their annoyance over the matter and ordered to seize mobile phone of man.

Talking to TNS Arsalam claimed that PTI leader Usman Dar had advised him to make photos of court room during proceeding.
