London, March 15 (TNS): Pakistani superstar Mahira Khan won a prestigious award at UK Asian Film Festival.
The Raees star was given the Contribution to Film and Activism Award at the opening ceremony of UK Asian Film Festival in London.
On occasion, Mahira, the single parent dedicated the award to her son, Azlan.
Dressed in a stunning sari, the Humsafar starrer uttered her thankfulness after accepting the award.
“Thank you. I’m going to keep it short,” Mahira said adding that “Like you said, if my son is being overlooked? I always ask my son about what should I say? Should I thank you? And he would always respond, ‘Please don’t thank me.’ So, I hope someone is recording this!”.
