Pakistan Day celebrated in Canberra

Canberra, March 25 (TNS): Pakistan Day was celebrated in Canberra with national zeal and fervor to make Pakistan stronger and vibrant.

A reception was hosted at the Pakistan High Commission and Lyndall Sachs the Chief Protocol of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade was the Chief Guest.  The event was attended    by members of diplomatic crops, govt officials, media representative, and Pakistani community in the Australia.  The distinguished gust was received by Pakistani children attired in regional dress.

The High Commissioner  Naela Chohan, while emphasizing the importance of Pak-Australia bilateral relationship elucidated on the significance of Pakistan Day. She highlighted the economic progress under the democratically elected government. She reiterated that Pakistan was poised to   become a regional economic power and underscored the growing cooperation between Pakistan and Australia in diverse field.  During the ceremony the High Commissioner has hoisted the national flag and the Australian military band played national anthem of the two countries.
