KARACHI, March 29 (TNS): The Inspector General of Police Sindh A. D Khwaja on Thursday said that Punjab and Sindh criminal record will be computerized and merge soon.
While chairing a meeting on crimes record in Karachi he said that we will soon reach an agreement with Punjab police to make an online combined computer record of criminals of both provinces. He said after merging of the records it will be easy to arrest criminals.
The meeting was participated by Additional IG Karachi, IG Jails, DIG Headquarters, Director IT and other zonal DIGs. In the meeting, the participants said that rooms have been set up in jails for Criminal Record Offices (CROs). The Director IT said that under the CRMS 62881 criminals records have been computerized while under the CRO 257702 criminal record has been computerized.
