T-20 series: West Indies arrives in Karachi tonight

Karachi March 31 (TNS): West Indies team will reach Karachi with a 13 man squad on Saturday night as they will contest the three-match T-20 series against Pakistan.

The team will arrive at the Jinnah International Airport in two separate groups as there is lack of seat availability on the flight from Dubai to Karachi. The flight of the first batch will arrive at 9.30pm whereas the second group will arrive at 12.15 am according to sources.

The two-time World Champions will play three T-20 Internationals in National Stadium Karachi. They will be the 4th International team visiting Pakistan since Zimbabwe came to the country in 2015. Prior to this upcoming series Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka and World XI played a series in Pakistan.

The gates are opening for international cricket in Pakistan and this will be another step for making the world accept that Pakistan is a safe and cricket loving nation.

The first T-20I will commence on Sunday, the second will follow on Tuesday and the Final T-20 will be played on Tuesday, which means there will be non-stop action in Karachi, which will be a treat to watch for the people of the “city of lights”

However, there will be no pre-match press conference, nor any training session will take place before the first game by the West Indian team. Furthermore, there will be no photo session of both captains with the series trophy.

The series will be contested from 1st April to 3rd April.
