Five venues under consideration for Trump-Kim meeting

Washington April 19 (TNS): US President Donald Trump has confirmed that five locations were being considered for his expected meeting with recalcitrant North Korea leader Kim Jong Un.

The US president did not specify the venue of the summit many say that any capital of possible five European countries could be chosen for the historic but highly fluid meeting.

Speculations are rife that the meeting could also take place in Panmunjom — a village in the demilitarized zone that divides the two Koreas. The truce village is expected to host a summit between Kim and South Korean President Moon Jae next week.

Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea, could be another venue for the meeting while Seoul, the capital of South Korea, could alsp be possible destinations for the negotionans.

Beijing, the capital of China and the main diplomatic defender of Pyongyang, could also claim credit if a deal is reached.

Ulan Bator, the Mongolian capital, can also be the venue for the negotiations. Any place in Switzerland,  Singapore, Vietnam  or Sweden and Finland could be chosen for the possible negotiations.
