Islamabad,April 23 (TNS): Pakistani Cricketer Shoaib Malik and Tennis ace Sania Mirza are expecting their first child. The couple posted a picture on twitter and expressed their delight as they enter a new phase of their lives.
The couple has been blessed with a child after eight years of marriage after they tied the knot back in 2010.
On the blessed occasion Shoaib said, “We have been thinking about it for a while and look forward to our journey as parents. When we found out we were ecstatic, needless to say, our families are overwhelmed and very happy and we wanted to share this amazing news with all our fans”
Sania also expressed her joy and was excited on starting her journey as a parent,
“We are soon to become parents. Both of us are very excited to enter this new phase of our lives and look forward to our journey as parents,” she said.
Earlier speaking to a Gender bias panel at Goa Fest 2018, Sania had expressed that whenever she has child, she will give a gender neutral surname (Mirza-Malik) to the baby to eradicate gender biasedness. The Tennis star also said that she will name the baby with consent of her husband and he too wanted a girl.
