Peshawar, May 3 (TNS): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) have harmoniously parted ways from their coalition of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.
The leaders of JI Inayatullah Khan and Muzaffar Said announced the decision in a press conference along with the KPK chief minister Pervaiz Khattak.
Since 2013 PTI and JI had a coalition government in the province. The JI had local government as well as finance ministries in their hold.
However last week JI led by Siraj Ul Haq had announced that after the restoration of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA), They will part ways from their primary partners in the coalition government.
KP Minister of Local Government Inayatullah Khan said. “Today is a historic day,”“By parting ways on a friendly note, we have established a good political tradition,”
The two Provincial finance ministers Inayatullah and Muzafar Said, also announced that they have resigned from their posts, following their party’s decision to part ways from the coalition government.
Speaking to the press conference chief minister Khatak said that KP will be merged with FATA next year, and the KPK government is making great strides towards the cause.
