Islamabad, May 4 (TNS): The Sacred Relics of Gautama Buddha which were brought from Pakistan in late April were exhibited on Friday to the general public of District Kulatra, based in the Southwest of Sri Lanka.
The Relics of Buddha were received by Rev. Gonaduwe Gunananda Thero at the temple present at the capital of the country, Colombo.
The relics will go round different parts of the country for public exposition.
It is scheduled to be taken for exposition to five different cities of Sri Lanka, including Galle, Kandy, Matara, Kurunegala and Anuradhapura.
On May 5th it will be exhibited in Galle, and then it will rest in Matara the next two days. On 9th and 10th May, it will travel to the districts Anuradhapura, after which it will take a tour for the people of Kandy on 11th and 12th May.
The Relics will be brought back to Colombo on May 13th for a span of three days of the expo at Gangaramya Viharasthanaya.
The Relics will stay in the country till May 16th
