QUETTA, May 10 (TNS): The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Wednesday in a raid arrested a banned outfit Lashkar-e-Jhangavi’s commander Hafiz Muhammad Ismaili from his resident at Killi Shah Muhammad near Mian Ghundi in Quetta.

This was stated by Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) CTD Aitzaz Ahmed Goraya while addressing a press conference at his office.

He said during the raid conducted on a tip of an intelligence agency, arms and ammunition including a Kalashnikov, a magazine, a hand grenade and 150 kilogram explosive materials were recovered from his possession.

During initial investigation, the accused confirmed his involvement in terrorists’ activities since 2014 along with another member of his organization named Najeeb Badeni, the DIG said.

He termed the arrest of accused as a major success of CTD. He said further investigation was underway to arrest other members of his group.
