Islamabad May 23 (TNS): Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that consultation process to reach consensus on the nominee to lead a caretaker government in the run-up to the general election would be finalized within a couple of days.

During a TV talk show, the PM Abbasi said a person who is uncontroversially marked with integrity, enjoying good repute and capable to ensure free and fair elections will be preferred.
Talking about summoning of National Accountability Bureau chairman by a National Assembly committee, he said the chairman should have appeared before it; otherwise, it would not bode well for democracy, Radio Pakistan reported.
The prime minister said elections would be held in the last week of July and there is no possibility of any delay.
