ISLAMABAD, May 31 (TNS):”Global Parents Day” will be observed across the world including Pakistan on Friday (June 1) to appreciate all parents for their selfless commitment to children and their lifelong sacrifice towards nurturing this relationship.
“Global Day of Parents” is a United Nations (UN) observance that is celebrated on June 1 each year to honor parents and their commitment to the children worldwide. Parents from every class of life have equally important and integral to children.
In September 2012, the UN declared June 1 as a global day of parents. This day is held to recognize parents as vital in providing protection to children. Parents are the primary teachers of children and they owe their parents a debt that can never be repaid.
Observing this day is a small tribute to our parents that we acknowledge them and shows them how much we care for them and that they are in always our hearts and thoughts. Everyone should observe this day as a way saying thanks to our parents and honor them.
Various organizations both public and private will also organize seminars, conferences, discussion programmes to highlight the importance of the day.
Parents of every race, religion, culture, and nationality in all parts of the world are the primary caregivers and teachers of their children, preparing them for a happy, fulfilling and productive life.
