CJP sets 2pm deadline for Musharraf to appear before SC

Islamabad, June 14(TNS): The Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar on Thursday, set a deadline for former President General (ret.) Pervaiz Musharraf to appear before the Supreme Court by 2 pm.

During the hearing of Pervaiz Musharraf’s nomination Papers’ case, Chief Justice ordered the former president to appear before the court.

The hearing took place at the Supreme Court Lahore registry, the Chief Justice further remarked that if Musharraf does not appear before the court, then the scrutiny of his nomination papers filed in NA-1 (Chitral), will be halted for examination.

Qamrul Fazal who is the counsel of the former president, told the court that his client is ill and will not be able to appear before the apex court.
