New Delhi, June 14 (TNS): In a bizarre move, India on Thursday shamefully rejected a UN report which showed human rights violations in occupied Kashmir as “fallacious, tendentious and motivated”.

In a strong reaction, Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said the report is “overtly prejudiced” and seeks to build a “false narrative”.

It violated the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, it said.

UN report said: “ Indian security forces used “excessive force” resulting in unlawful killings and a high number of injuries during widespread demonstrations in the Kashmir region that began in 2016.”
