Islamabad, August 2 (TNS): Pakistan’s Prime minister in waiting, Imran Khan is now the seventh most followed world leader on Twitter after his historic triumph in July 25 general elections.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman now has 8.17 million followers on Twitter which makes him the seventh most followed world leader on social media.
Khan is ahead in number of followers followers than Canada’a Justin Trudeau, France’s Emanuel Macron and Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu in the list of Top 10 leaders in the world.
However the most followed world leader on Twitter right now is US President Donald Trump.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is second in the list of the most powerful leaders on social media sphere with 43.3 million followers.
Pope Francis is the third most followed world leader with 17.7 million followers followed by Turkey’s recently re-elected President Recep Tayyip Erdogan who stands fourth in the list with 13.1 million folowers.
