Rehman Malik, Chinese envoy discuss various issues including CPEC projects

ISLAMABAD:  Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Interior Rehman Malik and Deputy Chief of Mission of China in Pakistan Lijian Zhao on Thursday discussed bilateral relations, matters of mutual interests and projects related to China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Chinese envoy arrived at Malik residence here and senior PPP leader told Zhao that both Pakistan and China were agreed to continue to work together for the development and progress of the two nations and regional peace.

Senator Malik said that he and every Pakistani were proud of Pak-China friendship as China had always extended timely support to Pakistan in every difficult time. China and Pakistan have been together fighting against terrorists who are common enemy of Pakistan and China.

The International community now required working in full unity against these enemies of humanity who were responsible for disturbing regional peace, he added.

He said that Pakistan and China would take forward the CPEC project as it was in the interest of the both countries particularly and for betterment of the region in general.

Lijian Zhao Deputy Chief of Mission applauded and thanked Senator A. Rehman Malik for his firm support for promoting friendship between two countries.

He also thanked Malik for his warm hospitality.
