Asian Games: Pakistan Hockey team thrashes Bangladesh 5-0 in last group game

Jakarta, August 28 (TNS):  In the last group game of the Asian games Hockey Tournament the green shirts pummeled Bangladesh 5-0 to finish at the top of the pool B with a 100% percent winning record.

Mubashar Ali and Muhammad Atiq both scored a brace in the game whereas a Shan Ali also netted a goal for a convincing victory.

The green shirts made it 3-0 in the first two quarters of the game, Ali Shan made it 3-0 for Pakistan in the third quarter of the game whereas Muhammad Atiq notched the fifth goal for the team in the last quarter from the penalty corner.

Pakistan will now contest the Semifinal on August 30.
