New Delhi July 11 (TNS): India Supreme Court suspended order that had banned the trade of cattle for slaughter on Tuesday.

The decision has given relief to the businessmen’s multi-billion dollar beef and leather industries mostly run by Muslims that employ millions of poor workers.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government in May ordered that animal markets could only trade cattle for agriculture purpose such as ploughing and dairy production.
