Four alleged robbers arrested after encounter

KARACHI, Oct 29 (TNS): Senior Superintendent of Police
(SSP Central) Muhammad Arif Aslam Rao on Monday said that one, out
of four accused who was arrested in injured condition, succumbed
to his injuries during treatment at the hospital.
Addressing a press conference at his office he informed that
four accused identified as Dolat Khan, Abdul Wali, Sergil and Mehmood
were arrested near Karimabad Bridge after encounter in injured
condition.
An accused Mehmood succumbed to his injuries during treatment at the hospital while treatment of Sergil and Abdul Wali was underway. He
said all the arrested were Afghan nationals.
He said that four pistols, 16 rounds, Rs 5600 cash and a vehicle
were recovered from them. He said two other accomplices of the
arrested accused Aziz and Izzat managed to escape from the scene.
The SSP said that the accused were involved in various crimes
including robberies, street crimes, auto-theft and other.
Meanwhile Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Dr. Syed Kaleem
Imam praised the efforts of SSP Central and his team for arresting the
accused.
