KARACHI, Jan 14 (TNS): Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) West Shoukat Ali Khatian on Monday said that the West zone police has arrested 3 accused in separate actions.
Addressing a presser at his office he said that officials arrested an accused Muhammad Shahid who had killed his friend Muhammad Asim. The police had recovered victims’ body packed in a sack from the bushes near Government Degree College Sector 7-A on January 10.
SSP said that accused Shahid during the initial interrogation confessed that he had killed the victim because Asim was demanding to repay the amount the accused had taken.
He informed that in another action, the police arrested two accused during patrolling and recovered two pistols and a stolen motorbike from their possession. Accused Sabir and Daniyal were involved in motorbikes lifting in Bufferzone area. The police also recovered 6 stolen motorbikes on their information.
Further investigations have been started, the SSP concluded.
