Maulana comes forward to back PM

Karachi, July 14 (TNS): Chief of his own faction of Jamiat Ulema Islam Maulana Fazlur Rahman on Friday stressed upon Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif not to resign on demand of major opposition parties.

Speaking to media persons in Karachi, the JUI-f chief lashed out at PTI and other parties asking that can these leaders demand PM’s resignation when they, themselves had resigned from parliament.

“PTI is teaching morality to the Nawaz Sharif who was elected by the majority of the masses in this country and still a constitutional Prime Minister,” he said.

Maulana added that Panama Papers scandal was not nation’s issue but this scandal is hurting economic growth as stock exchange collapsed after publication of JIT report.

He went on saying that this scandal is making institutions controversial and an atmosphere of confrontation being developed among them.

Maulana said current political crisis seems to be an international conspiracy to sabotage China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

“China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is a game-changer for the country but its enemies like America and India want to disturb this mega project, Maulana said adding that he had opposed Dharna to pave way for completion of CPEC.
