NAB denies any raid on residence of Dr Asim’s sister

Islamabad, July 16 (TNS): National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has strongly denied raids on house of Dr Asim’s sister allegedly conducted by the watchdog.

Dr. Asim who is close aide of Asif Ali Zardari and president of Pakistan Peoples Party Karachi chapter on Sunday lodged FIR against the Bureau for allegedly raiding the residence of his sister in Karachi. 

According to NAB Karachi, no raid has been conducted on the house of former Minister of Petroleum Dr Asim’s sister.

Dr Asim Hussain is accused of corruption worth Rs 462 billion, and being tried the reference court for mega corruption.

Chairman NAB Qamar Zaman Chaudhry, in a statement, said that not only he himself acts according to law but their officers have been strictly directed to implement the law.

He said that Dr Asim accused the NAB to pressurize the watchdog which is probing into mega corruption allegation against him.

According to sources, NAB did not conduct any raid on Dr. Ashim’s sister house.

The chairman said that NAB is a professional institute which only works for the end of corruption is the country whose investigative officers are trained from national and international institutions.

NAB officials, under the leadership of Qamar Zaman Chaudhry, maintain international standards in the light of domestic laws.

Chairman NAB has given special attention for training of the officers that is why NAB has become the only institution of Pakistan whose quality of work is appreciated by international bodies including the United Nations.

Chairman NAB vowed that the watchdog will continue its work according to the rules and regulations and would bring big crooks to justice.
