DG ANF appreciates efforts of bodies for curbing menace of drugs

Rawalpindi, July 17 (TNS): Director General Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), Major General Musarrat Nawaz Malik has emphasized on emerging trend in the abuse of synthetic drugs, underlining it as a grave threat requiring special measures.

Malik said this while addressing a conference organized by ANF here on Monday.

The conference was also attended by Commanders of all ANF Regional Directorates and Senior officials.

Addressing on occasion, DG ANF appreciated the efforts made by ANF Regional Directorates in curbing menace of narcotics.

Malik conveyed clear commands to vigorously expedite the ongoing countrywide campaign against drugs especially to educational institutions and apprehension of proclaimed offenders to bring the culprits to book.

DG ANF also revised the development of counter-narcotics operations and stressed upon pre-emptive and groundbreaking steps to curb the narcotics trafficking.

According to press release issued by the force, other issues relating to implementation, intelligence, assets investigation, legal proceedings, economics issues, management and infrastructure development were also came under discussion in conference.
