MoFA bans smart/camera phones in FO

Islamabad, July 17 (TNS): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has banned smart mobile phones and camera phones in the premises of Foreign Office.

Circular has been released in this regard.

Employees of the ministry and visitors will not be allowed to bring smartphones or camera mobile in the Foreign Office, according to the circular obtained by TNS.

The circular stated that the embargo will be implemented from Tuesday morning and strict action would be taken against the employees who will violate the ban.

The circular was issued after leakage of a letter written by the Foreign Office to the government of United Arab Emirates.

The ban has been applied to stop further leakage of confidential documents of the Foreign Office.
