US crashed aircraft found in Australian waters

Canberra, August 7 (TNS): Australian navy on Monday claimed to locate crashed US military Osprey that downed off the Queensland coast, leaving three US marines dead.

Australian Defence Minister told media that a survey ship found the crashed MV-22 aircraft in Shoalwater Bay shortly after kicking off search operation.

At least 29 persons were rescued when the aircraft crashed on Saturday, but 3 were still missing.

Underwater search efforts started in later in the day, the statement issued by Australian navy said.

The US aircraft, which is normally based in Japan’s Okinawa region, crashed into the sea during training drills however officials still could not figure out cause of the incident.
