Islamabad (TNS) DIG chairs ADRC meeting, directs public-friendly dispute resolution
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq chaired an important meeting regarding the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee (ADRC). The meeting was attended by ADRC Chairman Tayyab Nawaz Malik and other committee members.During the meeting, a detailed review of the ADRC’s performance was conducted. On the occasion, various matters were discussed to further strengthen the committee’s system, making it more effective, active, and public-friendly through mutual consultation.Emphasis was laid on resolving pending cases on a priority basis and ensuring timely redressal of public complaints. DIG Islamabad appreciated the performance of the committee and directed members to resolve public issues with transparency, fairness, and professionalism.He stated that effective implementation of the reconciliation mechanism would not only reduce the burden on courts but also strengthen trust between citizens and police.At the conclusion of the meeting, participants reaffirmed their commitment to promoting community policing and utilizing all available resources to ensure prompt and accessible justice for citizens
