Islamabad, August 8 (TNS): Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Tuesday said Pakistan’s political system is heading towards maturity.
In an interview to a private TV channel, he said democratic system is also moving ahead in a better way.
The Prime Minister said that PML-N will foil conspirators’ designs against democracy through positive politics and better welfare work.
He said the PML-N government has undertaken unprecedented development projects in the country.
Replying to a question, the Prime Minister said general elections will be held according to the schedule next year.
Turning to foreign policy, the Prime Minister said that maintaining better relationships with all the countries is priority of the government.
He said relationship with China has entered in a new phase, while better understanding with Russia is an important achievement.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said improving relations with India is in Pakistan’s interest.
