Jeddah, Sept 10 (TNS): Russia has urged Arab countries and Qatar to resolve their diplomatic dispute through direct talks.
Addressing a news conference in Jeddah on Sunday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Moscow supports all ongoing mediatory efforts for resolution of dispute between Qatar and its Arab neighbours.
Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir told the news conference that Qatar needed to show seriousness in finding a solution to the crisis.
The two ministers also discussed the planned de-escalation zones in Syria and unification of the Syrian opposition.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister called on the Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in Riyadh on Sunday and discussed the war in Syria and Arab diplomatic crisis with Qatar.
