Players mosly from Punjab have brought laurels to the country in the fields of Cricket, Hockey, Snooker, Squash, Boxing, Tennis, Kabbadi etc but there are many other disciplines which need to be paid attention at Govt level. Punjab Govt while sensing the responsibility in this regard is keen to enhance the sports culture in Pakistan by encouraging and providing facilities to the aspiring youth. Every kind of help is being extended to young players to allow them to get prepared to compete at international fora’s.

Tennis ace Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, while inaugurating the said State-Of-The-Art Tennis Stadium at Nishtar Park Sports Complex on 19 Sep couldn’t hide this happiness by seeing a tennis stadium of the standard he has been playing abroad and dreaming of one such kind being at home.

Aisam said he was pleased to see that the new court, established by Sports Board Punjab, met all the international standards. “I’m happy to see a tennis court here of an international standard,” he said, expressing hope that international tennis stars will soon be able to play here. “Hopefully, the security situation in Pakistan will continue to improve and very soon, international tennis stars will be able to come and play tennis here.”
