ISLAMABAD Sept 28 (TNS): Pakistan’s superstar leg-spinner Yasir Shah added another feat to his illustrious career, after he became the fastest spinner to take 150 wickets in Test cricket history.

The leggie has also levelled the record of the great Waqar Younis, who achieved the same milestone in just 27 Test matches.

Yasir Shah burst on to the scene in 2014 and just after 13 games became No.1 bowler in International Cricket Council (ICC) Test rankings, was just a wicket short of the figure which was achieved after he lbw Sri Lankan opener Thirimanne at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi.

Yasir ability with the ball has won him praise from all cricketing corners. Australian legend Shane Warne was so impressed with his talent that he offered him coaching and had a few sessions with the 31-year-old.

It is pertinent to mention here that, the record was previously held by magician Saeed Ajmal. He completed 150 wickets tally in just 29 matches.
