Rawalpindi, Sept 28 (TNS): Army Chief General Qamar Bajwa, in a major reshuffle, transferred and posted three lieutenant generals, including Aamer Riaz and Asim Saleem Bajwa, military media wing said here on Thursday.
Inspector General Arms at the General Headquarters (GHQ) Lt Gen Asim Bajwa has been posted o in Balochistan, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
He will be replacing Lt Gen Riaz, who has been given the charge of Lahore corps. Lt Gen Bajwa has also served as director general ISPR from 2012 to 2016.
Similarly, the serving Lahore corps commander, Lt Gen Sadiq Ali, has been appointed as Inspector General Arms at the GHQ.
The high-level transfers came almost 10 months after army chief Gen Qamar Bajwa relocated 10 top commanders in December 2016.
