Pakistan urges world community to address crisis of Rohingya Muslims

Geneva, Oct 4 (TNS): Pakistan has called for addressing the root causes of displacement of Rohingya Muslims on priority basis.

Addressing the 68th meeting of the UNHCR Executive Committee at Geneva, Minister for States and Frontier Regions Abdul Qadir Baloch said eighty-six percent of refugees are hosted in developing countries, including Pakistan.

He highlighted the efforts of Pakistan with unparalleled generosity and hospitality in hosting Afghan refugees for over thirty-eight years. He said that Pakistan has however not received due recognition for this immense public good.
