KARACHI Oct 20 (TNS): A police official was martyred during an operation at a drug runner’s hideout in Malir 15 area of the city.
According to SSP Korangi Noman Siddiqui, police raided the den of a drug runner, Shahzad, and arrested him. However, an exchange of fire took place later between the police party and Shahzad’ s accomplices, in which police official Bilal was killed.
Later, police carried out raids in the area and detained the suspects’ accomplices and relatives.
Further investigations are under way.
