VC Dow University directs to speed up the construction of Bone Marrow Transplant Center

KARACHI Nov 24 (TNS): The Vice Chancellor of Dow University of Health Sciences Prof Dr. Mohammad Saeed Quaishy has directed to speed up the construction of Bone Marrow  Transplant Center at the fourth floor of Dow Hospital, established in Ojha Campus.

He was speaking during the inspection of construction work. Further he said that Bone Marrow Transplant will be Operational in the start of 2018, he stressed to complete bone marrow transplant center on time and as per international standards.

Dr. Shuja Farrukh Medical Superintendent Dow University of Health Sciences, Ojha Campus was present on the occasion. Professor Dr Quaishy identified some slow down area to the engineers in various places, and also instructed that the work should be done according to the criteria, while in current year more than thirty five Lever and Kidney Transplant surgeries have been successfully completed in the various medical centers established in Ojha Campus of Dow University of Health Sciences.

While Bone Marrow Transplant will be started in 2018, other arrangements are being done in this regard. Professor Dr. Mohammed Saeed Qureshi advised that delay in the construction work will not be acceptable, according to the program. He further said, Bone Marrow Transplant operation will start a major milestone. He also said that Dow University is trying to provide better health care services to the people while living in its limits.
