Islamabad administration bans fund raising in the capital territory

Islamabad, Jan. 1 (TNS): Islamabad administration has banned fund raising/ charity collection in federal capital.

The notification in this regard was issued by the ICT district magistrate, Captain (retd) Mushtaq Ahmed.

According to notification issued by Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), the District Magistrate imposed section 144 and prohibited all social, welfare, political, and religious organizations which are under the watch list of United Nations Security Council and accused of terror-financing by raising their funds through advertisements, event or by any other means within the territorial limits of Islamabad.

This order shall remain in force for the period of two months from the issuance of the notification.

Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad District has issued list of 71 banned organizations to all Assistant Commissioners.
