Mumbai, Jan. 18 (TNS): Saba Qamar received much love in India for her role in the critically acclaimed Irrfan Khan starrer Hindi Medium and now she has been nominated Filmfare award for the Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female) category.
According to Indian media reports, Saba will compete against Zaira Wasim for Secret Superstar, Sridevi for Mom, Alia Bhatt for Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Bhumi Pednekar for Shubh Mangal Saavdhan and Vidya Balan for Tumhari Sulu for the award.
The film received five nominations in total as follows; Best Film, Irrfan Khan for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Male), Saket Chaudhary for Best Director and Deepak Dobriyal for Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Male).
Saba has also previously shared on Instagram that Hindi Medium made the top 10 Indian films’ list on IMDB.
