Bano Qudsia remembered on her first death anniversary

Lahore, Feb. 4 (TNS): Great intellectual, renowned novelist Bano Qudsia remembered on her first death anniversary on Sunday.

Death anniversary of prominent Urdu play writer was observed across the country.

She was born on 28 November 1928 in Feroz Pur (India). She got married to well-known writer and play writer Ashfaq Ahmed.

Government of Pakistan honored Bano Qudsia with Sitara-e-imtiaz.

Her novel ‘Raja Gidh’ is one of best novels of Urdu. Bano Aapa also wrote for television and stage in both Urdu and Punjabi languages. Her play Aadhi Baat has been called “a classic.”

Her famous books include‘Ek din, Shehar e Lazawal, Perwah, Moom Ki Galiyan, Dosra Darwaza, Hijratoun Kay Darmiyan.

She died in Lahore on 4th February 2017.
