Rawalpindi, Feb. 28 (TNS): The Additional District and Sessions Judge Islamabad West has ordered to release 12 prisoners involved in minor crimes on personal surety bonds while 17 on probation during his visit to Adiala jail for inspection.
The judge was accompanied by Civil Judge Islamabad (West) Muhammad Azeem Akhtar, Umar Virk Civil Judge and Adnan Additional District Session Judge Islamabad.
The judges and administrators were received by Superintendent Adiala Jail, and other senior officials of central prison. examined measures related to jail arrangements, facilities provided to prisoners and maintenance.
The statement issued by Central Prison Superintendent said that the honorable judges visited the Kitchen and Barracks, ladies and the juvenile wards and heard their problems.
They also inspected beautician and other training classes for female prisoners organized by TEVTA. According to press release, the judges expressed satisfaction over the facilities provided by the prison management.
The judges also appreciated the arrangement of cleaning and discipline in the prison. Additional District Session Judge also ordered to release 12 prisoners involved in minor crimes on personal surety bonds while 17 on probation.
