Reference in memory of late IGP Ch Manzoor

ISLAMABAD, July 05 (TNS): A reference in the memory of Chaudhry Manzoor Ahmad belonging to Police Service of Pakistan was held at National Police Bureau here Wednesday. The reference was arranged by Association of Former Inspector General of Police; AFIGP.

The reference meeting was presided by Iftikhar Rasheed president of AFIGP. The participants included former and retired IGPs, the colleague and family members of Ch. Manzoor Ahmad PSP who passed away in Lahore on June 11, 2017.

The participants paid glowing tributes to the late IGP. They remembered and shared incidents and anecdotes about his life and career full of personal and professional accomplishments. Late Ch. Manzoor Ahmad was an icon of Police Service of Pakistan who started his career as ASP in East Pakistan.

He was extremely brilliant man who enjoyed and extraordinary academic record. He was as high achiever starting from top position in vernacular middle schools.

He maintained his top position in the matriculation board exam in 1955 setting new records. He excelled in the intermediate board, exam by topping in the exams with outstanding grades surpassing all including pre-medial and pre-engineering students.

He continued with his brilliant track record in his professional life, serving in various appointments and posting all over Pakistan. He remained IGP Punjab twice and DG Intelligence Bureau besides holding other important appointments. A pictorial slides show presentation was also given on his life and career.
