Domestic structure needs an Overhaul: PCB Chairman

Lahore, May 5 (TNS): Chairman PCB Najam Sethi said on Saturday that he seeks to overhaul the structure of domestic cricket in Pakistan in the near future.
Speaking to a private media channel, Sethi said that the structure of regional; cricket plays a vital role in producing youngsters for the future and a plan is being implemented to make them prosperous financially by paying them a better stipend, in result of which good cricketers are produced from first-class cricket in the future.
The Chairman said that the decision of overhaul of the structure of domestic cricket is now the priority and has been put forward for implementation.
Speaking on the selection of the team the chairman expressed full confidence in chief selector Inzimam Ul Haq’s abilities and said “ In Inzamam is an expert when it comes to team selection and he has no issues with his decisions.
Regarding the upcoming tour of Pakistan cricket team against England and Ireland, the chairman said that he is looking forward to the historic test against Ireland which will be their first ever and expressed confidence in the boys for the stern test against England later.
