PTI terminates 14 MPAs of KP Assembly: Shaukat Yusafzai

PESHAWAR, May 10 (TNS): The Pakistan Tehrik I Insaf (PTI) KP today terminated the membership of 14 MPAs of KP Assembly after the expiry of the period given to them to submit a reply to the show-cause notices served on them over alleged selling votes in Senate elections in the KP.

The decision about six MPAs would be taken in a two days time, said PTI leader Shaukat Yusafzai.

The MPAs expelled from the party are Nargis Bibi, Deena Naz, Nageena Khan, Naseem Hayat, Yasin Khalil, Qurban Khan, Ziaullah Afridi, Amjad Afridi, Obaidullah Mayar, Zahid Durrani, Wajihuzzaman, Javed Nasim, Abdul Haq and Khatoon Bibi.

Shaukat Yusafzai said the PTI Chief had issued show cause notices to eighteen party MPAs and two MPAs supporting the PTI in the KP Assembly for casting their votes to candidates of other parties.

The committee constituted under the chairmanship of Speaker KP Assembly Asad Qaisar to probe the charges of selling votes by the PTI MPAs, would consult the KP CM about taking decisions on the reply submitted by the MPAs served with show cause notice.

Only MPAs Arif Yusaf, Fouzia Bibi, Samiullah Alizai, Mairaj Humayun, Faisal Zaman and Sardar Idrees submitted their reply on the show cause notices to the party leadership.
