Pakistan to get 300MW from CASA-1000 project

Dushanbe, July 6 (TNS): Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday attended the Central Asia-South Asia (CASC-1000) power project in Tajikistan.

The power supply project will be completed in 2018. Of the 1000 megawatts (MW), Pakistan will get 300 MW of electricity while the rest will be supplied to Afghanistan.

While referring to the political turmoil back in home, the PM said that whosoever comes to power should be allowed to complete the five-year tenure.

He said that due to the political uncertainty and jittery, the graph of Pakistan Stock Exchange is sliding and going down.

Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, Tajik President Ali Rehan and Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev   also attended the regional connectivity conference.
